About Us

AVOX Studios is a collective of award-winning creators based out of Dallas, Texas. We specialize in script-to-screen video production and stunning digital content that puts the story first. We believe digital content should not just be visually appealing, but also needs to deliver a message that is effective and impactful. Successful content should put the audience first and have a unique voice that speaks from the heart of the brand. We take our time to make sure every detail of every production exceeds our high bar of expectation.

We work with all types of businesses, non-profits, and fundraisers. Our goal is to work with companies that we feel as passionately about as we do our own. We work hard to make sure that everyone we partner with is a good fit for our brand. We pride ourselves in choosing the right stories to tell through a series of criteria we aim to meet with every company we partner with. Obviously, not every project that we take on will have all these boxes checked. But if a project lands on our desk that meets all of these criteria, we will do everything in our power to land it.

We like working with companies that are here to make difference for good. If it has our name on it, we want to make sure we are representing a client that will make a significant effort to better our world.

From the initial talks with clients, project briefings, and brainstorming sessions, we get to sniff out what kind of people we are going to be working with. Our goal is to work with people who are mindful of our time, respectful of our processes, and are in it for more than themselves. We have found that slimy people only network with other slimy people — nobody likes slime.



Is this something that would benefit our portfolio?

We like doing new things. We thrive in challenges. If a project comes around that will make us get out of our comfort zone, we look forward to jumping into it.


Financial Reward

Is it worth the monetary compensation?

This is an obvious one. We have to keep the lights on, and “exposure” won't pay the bills. The money doesn’t just pay for our time on set. It pays for years of experience, equipment acquired, company expenses, and plenty of other things people often fail to acknowledge. If a project is made worth our time, we’ll ensure it's worth the investment.



Who doesn’t love it?

Alright, this is a little bit of a selfish one, but we drool for any opportunity we get to explore this world. As much as we love Dallas, we jump at any opening to get out of it. Most of the time we get homesick and want to come back anyway, but if a project involves travel, it's a huge plus for us!



Are we proud to be behind it?

What we put our name on means a lot to us. We want to make sure that anything we touch is of the highest quality and we don’t cringe every time it's shown. This is last on the list, but first when we are considering new projects.

What are your hourly rates?

We have rates, but they are not hourly. Our rates are determined on a project-by-project basis. If it takes an expert 20 minutes to do what a rookie does in 2 hours, why should the expert be punished?

Can I get a proposal?

Kind of. We take proposals very seriously. Completing a proposal is a time-consuming feat that involves our whole team. For that reason, we give out creative briefs that include a budget scope and deliverables. We save everyone some time by only giving out proposals when it's truly necessary.

Can I have the unedited files?

We put a lot of work into completing our projects. We can provide unedited footage if that's a deliverable that's that's agreed upon in the initial stages of the project planning. We are willing to make exceptions, but unedited footage could potentially paint our work in a negative light and we want to avoid that as much as possible.

Who owns the rights for the content?

Normally, whoever pays for the final product owns the rights to it. We also retain some distribution rights for our own marketing purposes.

Do you do specialty projects?

We don't advertise every type of projects we do. WE're available to create content outside of the services we have listed on this website. Just ask us!

How do you meet deadlines?

In the planning stage of each project, we go over deadlines and due dates for ourselves and the client. Payments are usually tied to these deadlines. Initially, the first payment pays for the planning stage of the process. Upon completion, the next payment pays for the production costs, then on to post-production, and finally the distribution.

What is AVOX?

"Avox" is a compound word that means "without a voice." We chose it as our name because we aim to give a voice to those who need it.

Can we pick the music for the final video?

Copyright law doesn't allow us to use any music we do not have explicit permission to use for commercial purposes. If you are adamant about using something from your Spotify top playlist, we can either do our best to replicate it in-house. Otherwise, be prepared shell out the big bucks for permission.

What equipment do you use?

We use professional-grade cinema equipment that makes sure our productions are as future-proof as possible. Since we own the equipment we use, we only rent equipment that may be special for your project, saving you money on rentals and equipment fees.

How do you deliver content?

Usually our clients prefer online proofing and approvals, with delivery via an online downloadable link. We can also provide a physical flash drive or hard drive.

Can we get different versions of a project?

Usually we go over deliverables and desired formats in the planning stage of the project. It can be added on afterwards as well, but that varies on a case-by-case basis.
